My whole life I have felt a desire to create. After working with clay and mixed media. I found my true passion when I picked up my daughter’s childhood painting set at a time when the world around me was on hold (and my sourdough starter had failed.) I quickly advanced to fine watercolors and acrylic paints. My work continues to evolve from my passion to paint these organic designs, while watching the colors on the paper blend into unexpected beauty.

Throughout my artistic process, I am deeply connected to the paints and surfaces. As an observer of my art, I lose myself for a moment within that space and realize that I have found my artistic expression unique to me. It is incredible making art that allows me to feel balanced and connected. The writer and poet Thomas Merton stated, “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”   My hope is to have you lose yourself in a painting...and find yourself in peace..if only for a moment in time.  -Jen
