Patricia Bronstein

Patricia Bronstein has been a working artist for over 30 years. In 2012 she moved to Minnesota where she maintained a full time studio practice in Minneapolis’ Northeast Artist District (which won the 2022 USA TODAY’s Best Arts District in the United States). For ten years, she was an active participant in the scores of Open Studio Weekends and Evenings. In addition, she had the privilege of having solo shows throughout Minnesota and was juried into several group shows.  Many years ago, she was a clothing designer and her designs appeared in Vogue magazine.

Prior to moving to Minnesota, Patricia lived in New Jersey where she maintained a studio in Hoboken and showed locally in Hudson and Bergen counties.

She studied Drawing and Mixed Media at the Art Students’ League and printmaking at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and  the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.  Though grounded in actual lived experience and an interest in the built environment, Patricia’s work is primarily abstract and expresses what she sees combined with what she imagines.  She has a M.A. in Religion from Columbia University with a concentration in 7th Century Shingon Buddhism, whose doctrine states that enlightenment is not a distant reality, but a real possibility within this life.

Now back on the East Coast she is proud to have been accepted into the ARTery Gallery in Milford, PA not far from where she, her husband and dog maintain a house west of town.
